That aside, colours are pretty decent for this price point, very bright panel if you want it to be, but it’s worth changing the brightness to get deeper blacks as the backlight does wash the blacks out if not.

Sound is okay, again you’re getting what you pay for at this price point. If you’re wall mounting it be sure to change the speaker config to wall mount. Using external amplifiers is straight forward over spdif but at the time of writing I’ve not tested any codec passthrough (DTS, Dolby etc).

Apps are all fine, has Netflix, Prime Video, YouTube and a couple other streaming apps I won’t be using. Also has all the major TV apps, ITV CH4 BBC iPlayer etc. The TV is quite responsive switching between them which is a plus for this kind of price they’re usually quite sluggish.

The remote is very simple, definitely an off the shelf unit and can probably be found on Alibaba for a few quid.

Giving 3/5 stars simply because of the misleading resolution of the panel, kinda tempted to take it apart and see what model the panel is but I think I’ll wait for the warranty to expire first.

In summary, it’s an okay TV and definitely average for the price. If you’re not massively fussed on the resolution it’s worth getting, but for another £50 you could have got a Samsung or Sony.
